1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing VAS eLearning ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part, you may not access the Platform.
2. User Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain security of your account credentials
- You are responsible for all activities under your account
- One account per person; sharing accounts is prohibited
3. Course Access and Enrollment
- Course access granted upon successful payment
- Lifetime access to purchased courses unless otherwise stated
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue courses
- Course content is for personal, non-commercial use only
- No resale or distribution of course materials
4. Digital Certificates
VAS eLearning issues digital certificates of participation upon successful completion of courses. To receive your certificate, you must complete all course lessons and meet any additional requirements specified in the course curriculum.
- Certificates are issued automatically upon course completion
- Students can download their certificates from the "My Certificates" section
- Certificates include student name, course title, and completion date
- Certificates are provided for educational recognition purposes
- VAS reserves the right to revoke certificates if Terms of Service violations are discovered
5. Student-Instructor Relationship
Vector Automation Systems Ltd ("VAS") operates as an educational platform that facilitates connections between students and instructors. VAS provides the technological infrastructure, course hosting, and administrative support, but does not directly control the instructional content created by independent instructors.
- Instructors are independent content creators responsible for their course materials
- VAS reviews and approves courses to maintain quality standards but does not guarantee accuracy
- Students should communicate directly with instructors for course-specific questions
- VAS acts as a mediator in disputes between students and instructors
- VAS may intervene if instructor conduct violates platform policies
6. Content Accuracy and Educational Use
Important Disclaimer: While VAS endeavors to ensure that all courses contain factual, accurate, and up-to-date information, course content is provided for educational and informational purposes only.
Users should NOT rely solely on course content for academic research, professional applications, or critical decision-making. You are strongly encouraged to:
- Consult with course instructors for clarification on any unclear or uncertain topics
- Conduct independent research and fact-checking on course materials
- Verify information through additional authoritative sources
- Seek professional advice for specialized or technical applications
- Cross-reference information with current academic literature and industry standards
VAS makes no warranties regarding the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of course content and expressly disclaims liability for any errors, omissions, or consequences resulting from reliance on course materials.
7. Instructor and Course Application Rights
VAS reserves the exclusive and sole discretion to accept or reject any and all applications, including but not limited to:
- Instructor applications and registrations
- Course submissions and proposals
- Course content updates and modifications
- Account upgrade requests
Acceptance Criteria: VAS may consider factors including but not limited to qualifications, content quality, platform fit, technical requirements, legal compliance, and alignment with educational standards. VAS is under no obligation to provide reasons for acceptance or rejection decisions.
Refunds: In cases where applications are rejected or approvals are revoked, VAS will determine, at its sole discretion, whether refunds are appropriate and the amount of such refunds. Refund determinations will consider factors such as work completed, resources utilized, and time elapsed. All refund decisions made by VAS are final.
Appeal Process: Rejected applicants may request reconsideration by contacting VAS support with additional information or clarification. VAS reserves the right to make final determinations on all appeals.
8. Payment and Refunds
Pricing: All prices in KES. We reserve the right to change prices.
Refund Policy: 30-day money-back guarantee if less than 20% of course completed.
Cancellation: You may cancel subscription services anytime. No refunds for partial periods.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, including courses, videos, text, graphics, and AI-generated materials, is owned by VAS or licensed to us.
Prohibited: Downloading, copying, reproducing, or distributing content without written permission.
10. User Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Share offensive or inappropriate content
- Attempt to hack or disrupt the Platform
- Use automated systems to access the Platform
- Impersonate others or provide false information
11. AI Features
Our Platform uses AI for course generation, learning assistance, and content recommendations. AI-generated content is provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy or completeness.
12. Limitation of Liability
VAS shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the last 12 months.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for violations of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time through account settings.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes shall be resolved in Kenyan courts.
